FOSS · Versatile laboratory NIR analysis
NIRS™ DS3
A laboratory NIR platform for a broad range of food, feed, and agricultural matrices. With additional calibration packages, it can be used for meat, solid dairy products, whole grain, feed, raw materials, and finished goods.

Best suited for
Central laboratories and food/feed plants handling diverse sample matrices
Capabilities and controlled parameters
- NIR spectroscopy (GOST R 71208-2024, GOST ISO 12099-2017, ISO 12099)
- Solid, semi-solid, ground, unground, and selected liquid samples
- Typical parameters include fat, protein, moisture, ash, and starch
- Meat, cheese, solid dairy products, and whole-grain applications use the relevant additional calibration packages
- A logical complement to Infratec: Infratec covers rapid whole-grain intake control, while NIRS DS3 supports broader laboratory control across different matrices
- Helps build one laboratory methodology: calibrations, verification against reference methods, operator training and stable data handling
- Specialised calibrations can be developed for amino acids, NDF, ADF, dietary fibre, sugars, and other parameters
- 400–2500 nm spectral range with reflectance and transflectance modes
- NIRS DS3 A adds automated handling of up to 20 cups per batch

Implementation considerations
The final configuration depends on sample types, parameter ranges, throughput, accuracy requirements, and existing reference methods. Before proposing equipment, LabLog clarifies these factors and defines the supply scope, training, and method-verification plan.
How LabLog supports the project
- 01Capture requirements and compare suitable methods
- 02Configure the instrument, calibrations, and consumables
- 03Arrange official supply and commissioning
- 04Train operators in sample preparation and daily operation
- 05Provide service communication and repeat consumable supply
